Rocket & the Renegades is a high-energy rock ’n’ roll band from Hamilton that combines raw garage rock grit with roots, country and folk influences. Founded in 2016, they’ve supported established acts like Teenage Head and Robert Gordon, earning a reputation for passionate live performances. Fronted by singer-songwriter Robin Magder, the group features Rick Prinsthal on lead guitar, ’57 Trevy on bass, and Derek Millar on drums. Their latest full-length self-titled album dropped in February 2025 and showcases 13 original tracks, all penned by Magder, recorded over four years in Hamilton.
